Urban Community Volunteer (UCV) trained under Bangladesh Fire Service Civil Defense (FSCD) in collaboration with Urban Resilience Project., funded by the European Union since 2017 in the slum areas and semi-formal residential communities of southern Old Dhaka. College student Israt is an active Urban Community Volunteer. For Israt, the training and its respective root resounded with her on a whole other level, whereby her now-trained contribution became ubiquitous, whenever news broke of any disasters in her vicinity.
